The big names in the cast all do excellent work, but the biggest surprise is all but unknown Steinfeld.. My only reservation about the movie, not a serious one but a nagging one, is that watching the film it's hard to see why the Coens wanted to make it.. There's so much delusion and so much delight in "Noah" that I have trouble distinguishing one from the other, or determining whether its most outlandish flourishes qualify as mistakes or as strokes of genius.. Just saddle up and see it yourself...
